DAYTON, Ohio - Josh Johnson tossed three touchdown passes and ran for another score to help San Diego give Dayton its first loss, 48-24 on Saturday. Johnson and J.T. Rogan combined for four second-half scores and San Diego (6-1 overall, 2-0 Pioneer League) outscored the Flyers 28-0 after halftime.

Lopes, Picciolo out in San Diego (The Buffalo News)

SAN DIEGO - First base coach Davey Lopes and third base coach Ron Picciolo won’t be back with the San Diego Padres. The 60-year-old Lopes rejoined the Padres’ coaching staff in November 2002 after spending the previous two-plus years as the Milwaukee Brewers manager.
